A new report out of the University of Texas finds that certain fitness trackers leave their wearers vulnerable to monitoring.
At risk devices include some of the top-selling brands that monitor wearers’ vitals such as heart rates, sleeping patterns and movement.
The study examined eight popular wrist-worn trackers and tested how each device interacts with mobile apps and their manufacturers’ computer servers.
